I’m Gianna and have been photographing businesses for over 12 years. I love seeing how photography can support businesses to thrive.
Getting to know what makes your business unique, and how we can best communicate that, is my happy place! With a foundation in graphic design and illustration, I understand what makes powerful imagery.
Background
It started with an Honours degree in Visual Communications, where alongside my interest in design I found myself drawn to photography. Drawcard Photo’s previous name was Drawcard Design, established in 2008 with my partner, Chris, whom I met at uni. We specialised in primarily graphic design (print, digital, branding), with a side of photography. As our photography services evolved, and I began running this biz as principle, our core service has swapped to photography. We’ve worked with all sizes of business, entrepreneurs, government and so many more.
Fun facts
I’m a technical nut and you will always find me continually learning how to to improve my craft – if there’s a way to do it better I want to know. My favourite lenses are Sigma Art Series primes and my most inexpensive piece of invaluable photography equipment is black craft foam, used around my pro camera flashes to better bounce the light. I love to hit the gym, so that I can more easily hold a vast quantity of camera equipment in one go!
